SD-2000A Solenoid Diagnoser, an innovative
product, is a powerful tool to check solenoid
conditions for field technicians by measuring BOTH
resistance and inductance with very high accuracy.
To diagnose a solenoid on an injector or a pump,
traditionally a multimeter was used to measure its
resistance, which is only 0.2-0.5Ωfor most of the solenoids
on injectors, while the resolution of a multimeter is about the
same scale. Therefore a multimeter alone could not detect
most of solenoid problems, such as partially burned out, for
which the resistance is changed slightly. Another
parameter, inductance, is also crucial to determine solenoid
problem. Unfortunately most field technicians don’t have
special instrument to measure inductance
